2-4-U Program
High school & Vocational training (Concomitance)

2-4-U Program
The 2-4-U program (also referred to as concomitance) is an innovative dual-track educational pathway that allows students to simultaneously pursue general secondary studies and a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP). The program is designed to fast-track entry into skilled trades while ensuring students complete their high school prerequisites or diploma.
Key Features & How It Works
How Does My Week Work?
You spend part of your week in high school classes and part of your week learning a trade.
-High school classes: Mathematics, French, and English. You can take them at one of our high schools or one of our adult centres.
-Trade classes: hands-on training at one of our vocational training centre.
For example, you could go to Massey-Vanier High School on Monday and Tuesday and the Brome-Missisquoi Campus on other days.
What Are My Options?
Option 1: Two diplomas in one program (2-4-U)
You study a trade and high school subjects at the same time.
When you finish, you get:
-A diploma of vocational studies (DVS / DEP)
-A high school diploma (SSD/DES)
This program has more classes, so it is more work. With it, you can go to Cegep after or enter the workforce. Learn more.
Option 2: Get your trade diploma faster
You study a trade while also completing the general high school courses you need.
When you finish, you get:
-A Diploma of vocational studies (DVS / DEP).
You can start working in your trade right after and it is always possible to continue your schooling after to complete your high school diploma.
Why Choose this Pathway?
Hands-on career training
Explore and train for a real career, such as welding, mechanics, accounting, or health care. You do this while continuing your high school education, so you don’t have to put your studies on hold.
A faster path to work or Cegep
Because you work on your high school courses and your trade training at the same time, you can finish sooner. This means you can start your career, or continue your studies at Cegep, earlier than if you did each one separately.
How to Register?
Speak with the Academic Guidance Counselor at your school or contact our SARCA team if you are planning on returning to school.
