Financial Aid

Loans and Bursaries
When you plan to register for school, one important step is making a budget. Depending on your situation, you may be able to get financial aid.
Did you know that full-time vocational training students can apply for financial help from the Québec government? The Loans and Bursaries Program can help cover the cost of your studies.
Who Can Apply?
You Can Apply If You:
- Are a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a refugee or protected person.
- Live in Québec (by the government’s rules).
- Are in a school and program that the government recognizes.
- Study full time.
What Does “Full Time” Mean?
- Your classes last at least 3 months in a row.
- You are in class at least 15 hours a week.
How Much Money Can I Get?
It Depends On Your Situation:
- How much money you earn.
- What you spend on your studies and living costs.
- Your family situation.
- Your level of study.
- How much your parents, your sponsor, or your spouse earn, in some cases.

When and How Do I Apply?
- You apply online, starting in mid-June, for the next school year.
- If you are accepted, the money covers your studies from August to June.
- You need to apply again every year.
